Through Zion's, God gives us many ways to deepen our faith in Jesus Christ and share our gifts with the world. Our ministries include:
Worship
Each week we gather for worship. In worship we hear God's Word, sing God's praises and share the Lord's Supper together. You might classify our worship style as "traditional" but we have hymns and anthems from every generation. We do like singing in our congregation! We have a very family friendly worship, with a weekly children's sermon and a comfortable and well-maintained nursery if your child prefers this environment. There are many ways to get involved in worship, including serving as ushers, acolytes, crucifers, lectors (reader of the lessons), alterguild, prayers, nursury sitters and musicians.
Christian Education
We have Sunday School classes for all ages. We currently have three different classes for adults, ranging from informal discussion based on movies to a formal lecture-style class. Confirmation Classes (which prepare youth to confirm, or say "Yes" to their Baptism) are available for 7th and 8th graders. Bible School also takes place during the summer. On Wednesday night's we also have a pastor led Bible study.
Children, Youth and Family Ministry
At Zion's, children are blessed to grow up in a multi-generational community. In addition to our lively worship and strong Christian Education program, we have various family events throughout the year (Fall Carnival; dances; Easter egg hunts). Our Wednesday nights are a fun time for kids to share a meal, do some homework and have fun. We recently added a Little's Ones play group for pre-preschoolers and their parents on Wednesday night. Our pastor and members of our church also teach through the Release time program for 3rd graders at Jonestown elementary school. For middle and high schoolers, we have an active group that meets monthly at the Wave. (See our youth page for more info). During the summer, our youth head out of town for a week of service.
Social Ministry
At Zion's we are a community of caring. When someone dies or a little one is born, we bring food to their family to help them out. However, God sends us out to care for people outside of our community. We work with local charities, especially in Lebanon, to help a variety of people. We also work through the Lutheran church, even internationally through Lutheran World Relief (and its quilt program) and Lutheran World Hunger Appeal.
Music
We have music opportunities for all ages! Junior choir is for grades 3 to 8. Adult choir is for any adult who wants to give their gift of music. We also have a cherub and children's bell choir.

Evangelism
We are called as Christians to give witness to the hope that is within us and invite others to church, to a deeper relationship with God. We focus on local outreach projects. Our church also sponsors a missionary in Africa through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
